Introduced: 1992 (Master Control line)
Purpose / Inspiration: The Master collection was created to showcase JLC’s technical and finishing standards through clean, versatile designs. It launched with the Master Control Date and became the first watch line to undergo JLC’s strict 1,000-hour in-house testing protocol—a move that predated the COSC craze. The collection expanded to include moonphase, chronograph, geographic time zone, and calendar complications—all with understated elegance and strong mechanical bones.
