Introduced: 1950
Purpose / Inspiration: The Memovox—short for “voice of memory”—was Jaeger-LeCoultre’s first mechanical alarm watch. It was created for businessmen, travelers, and professionals who needed a discreet mechanical reminder without relying on anything electric. Over the years, it evolved into one of JLC’s most iconic complications, appearing in dive watches, world timers, and even automotive tie-ins—all with that signature buzzing alarm.
Designer: Designed by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s technical division in the post-war era; became a cornerstone complication for the brand
