Purpose / Inspiration: The Idéale was Jaeger-LeCoultre’s answer to women who wanted a watch with real watchmaking credentials—not just jewelry. Inspired by the Reverso’s Art Deco lines, but scaled and styled for feminine elegance, the Idéale kept the rectangular case and fine finishing, but focused on polished detailing, diamond settings, and refined proportions. It wasn’t a flip-case tool—it was a graceful, slim dress piece for women who appreciate traditional form and Swiss quality.

Designer: Created by JLC’s in-house team as part of their early 2000s expansion into refined ladies’ models that weren’t just miniaturized versions of men’s pieces

Case size: ~20mm x 32mm (varies slightly by reference)

Case options:

  • 18k rose or white gold
  • Many models offered with diamond-set bezels or lugs
  • Slim rectangular case with rounded corners and sculpted sides
