Piaget was founded in 1874 by Georges-Édouard Piaget in the village of La Côte-aux-Fées, Switzerland. Originally focused on crafting precision watch movements, Piaget later became known for ultra-thin calibers and luxurious jewelry watches.
Today, Piaget is still based in La Côte-aux-Fées, with a major manufacturing site in Plan-les-Ouates (Geneva), and operates under the Richemont Group.
