Purpose / Inspiration:
The Overseas is Vacheron’s answer to the modern traveler. Built with the toughness of a sports watch, the finishing of a dress watch, and the polish of a Geneva Seal timepiece, it’s meant to go everywhere—planes, meetings, oceans, rooftops. It took cues from the Royal Oak and Nautilus playbook but did it Vacheron’s way: rounded bezel, Maltese cross-inspired lugs, and immaculate movement finishing under the hood. It’s not a throwback. It’s a passport.

Originally designed by Dino Modolo and Vincent Kaufmann for the 1996 launch—reimagined in 2016 with in-house movements and modular bracelet system

- Baton indexes with Super-LumiNova
- Date at 3 o’clock (or subdials/date rings for complications)

- 150m standard across most models
- Screw-down crown and soft iron casing ring (anti-magnetic shielding)
