Super Avenger

Introduced: 2004

Purpose / Inspiration: The Super Avenger was built as the biggest, boldest chronograph in Breitling’s lineup—a tool watch with military-grade specs and wrist-dominating presence. It was aimed at those who wanted extreme durability, oversized readability, and the confidence that comes with a watch you could wear into a warzone or a wind tunnel.

Designer: Developed during the Schneider family era, as an amplified version of the Avenger chronograph line.

Case size: 48mm stainless steel (later models in titanium and black DLC)

Powered by Breitling Caliber 13 – automatic, based on Valjoux 7750, COSC-certified

Functions:
▪️ Chronograph (12-hour)
▪️ Date window
▪️ Screw-down pushers and crown for 300m water resistance

Dials: Black, blue, white, grey—with bold stencil-style numerals or baton markers

Paired with rubber straps, military textile, or the hefty Professional bracelet

Later upgraded versions (Super Avenger II, Night Mission) introduced lighter materials and stealth styling

Still in production, though the original Super Avenger has been phased out and replaced by the Super Avenger II and Super Avenger Chronograph 48

Continues to be one of Breitling’s most recognizable modern tool watches

No Apologies, Just Presence: This isn’t a watch—it’s a statement.

Wears Like Armor: 48mm of steel built for pressure, power, and precision.

Legibility That Hits Hard: Everything is oversized for a reason—read it fast, act faster.

Still a Chronometer: Even with the muscle, it’s still COSC-certified.
