Purpose / Inspiration: The Spirit of Big Bang was created to bring Hublot’s aggressive, industrial style to a tonneau-shaped case—think Richard Mille vibes, but with Hublot’s materials, skeleton dials, and Unico-powered guts. It’s not a spin-off. It’s a full-on reimagining of the Big Bang, in a new silhouette that’s still unmistakably Hublot.
Designer: Developed by Hublot’s design and R&D team as a fresh platform for the Unico movement and “Art of Fusion” concept, reinterpreted through a curved tonneau case
Case size:
- 39mm (compact/unisex)
- 42mm (standard)
- 45mm (larger chronograph models)
- Wears bigger due to curved and extended case shape
Case options:
- Titanium, ceramic, King Gold, carbon fiber, sapphire, and two-tone versions
- Frequent use of skeletonized midcases and transparent components
Powered by:
- HUB4700 automatic chronograph (based on Zenith El Primero with Hublot mods)
- HUB6020 manual-wind skeleton tourbillon in higher-end versions
- Newer editions include in-house Unico flyback chronograph calibers
Bezel: Tonneau-shaped bezel with 6 visible H-screws, curved to follow the case’s contour
Dial options:
- Mostly skeletonized
- Open-worked chronograph layouts
- Subdials placed at 3 and 9 o’clock
- Bold, multi-layer architecture
Water resistance: 100m
Bracelet:
- Structured rubber straps (often with leather or fabric inlays)
- Integrated lugs with quick-release system
- Full bracelet versions in titanium or ceramic also available
Still in production, with constant expansions including Moonphase, Tourbillon, Rainbow, and Sapphire editions
