Introduced: Mid-to-late 1990s
Purpose / Inspiration: La Strada—Italian for “The Road”—was inspired by 1950s Italian cinema and the flowing lines of Roman architecture. It was Chopard’s take on the golden age of glamour: elegant, sculptural, and feminine. Named after Fellini’s iconic film, it combined old-Hollywood drama with Art Deco curves, built for women who wanted luxury with cinematic flair.

Why it stood out: La Strada was unlike anything else on the market—less a watch, more a wrist sculpture. It didn’t follow trends—it channeled timeless elegance with a dramatic, European soul.
