Your Hour

Introduced: Late 1990s

Purpose / Inspiration: The Your Hour was designed as an elegant, feminine watch with a twist—literally. Its unique tonneau-shaped case turned 90 degrees gave it the look of a framed miniature portrait on the wrist. It wasn’t just about telling time—it was about owning the moment. The name? A wink at personal empowerment: It’s your time. Your hour.

Designer: Developed under Caroline Scheufele as part of Chopard’s expansion into jewelry watches with distinct personality and high fashion appeal

Case size: ~21mm x 33mm (small) to ~24mm x 36mm (medium/large)

Case options: 18k white, yellow, or rose gold; stainless steel versions also existed; many featured diamond-set bezels or lugs

Powered by:

  • Swiss quartz movement (ETA-based)
  • Exclusively quartz—emphasizing elegance and slimness over mechanical heft

Bezel: Highly polished or pavé-set; rectangular case oriented horizontally (unlike most tonneau watches)

Dial options: White lacquer, silver, or mother-of-pearl with Roman numerals; often paired with blued or feuille hands for a vintage-glam look

Water resistance: 30m

Bracelet: Leather strap or full gold bracelet; quick-change lugs made strap-swapping easy (Chopard included extra straps with purchase)

Discontinued, though occasionally appears in Chopard’s vintage or heritage capsule collections

Why it stood out: The Your Hour wasn’t loud—but it was unmistakable. A horizontal case, high jewelry detailing, and a name that spoke directly to the wearer made it feel more like a personal gift than just a timepiece.

Time, Framed Just for You: The sideways case turns a watch into a statement

Elegant, Feminine, Iconic: Roman numerals and diamonds never go out of style

Your Hour, Your Power: The name says it all—this moment belongs to you

A Hidden Classic: Quiet luxury from Chopard’s golden age of jewelry watches
