Wings Lady

Introduced: Late 1990s to early 2000s

Purpose / Inspiration: The Wings Lady was part of the Windrider collection, designed for women who wanted a real Breitling—not just a miniaturized fashion piece. It kept the tool-watch toughness, COSC-certified movement, and aviation DNA, but sized it down for daily wear with elegance.

Designer: Developed under Ernest Schneider, during Breitling’s push to offer serious functionality across both men’s and women’s lines.

Case size: ~31mm, with integrated lugs and high-polish finish

Case options: Stainless steel, two-tone, or full 18k gold

Powered by Breitling Caliber 71SuperQuartz™, COSC-certified

Bezel: Polished bezel with engraved rider tabs (like the Chronomat)

Dial options: White, blue, black, champagne, and mother-of-pearl—often with Roman numerals or diamond markers

Water resistance: 100m, sapphire crystal, screw-down crown

Bracelet: Typically came on the Pilot or Rouleaux-style bracelet

Discontinued in the mid-2000s

Replaced in spirit by Galactic 29, Chronomat 32, and Starliner

Still respected as a serious women’s tool watch, not just a luxury accessory

Compact but Capable: 31mm of real Breitling power

COSC in Every Case: Even the quartz versions earned their badge

Aviator Aesthetic, Feminine Fit: It’s not pink—it’s professional

Form + Function: This wasn’t just styled to look tough. It was.
