Callistino

Introduced: 1990s

Purpose / Inspiration: Created as a women’s version of the Breitling Callisto, the Callistino was designed to bring tool-watch functionality into a smaller, elegant case—offering professional specs in a size that worked for smaller wrists without sacrificing brand DNA.

Designer: Developed in-house during the Schneider family era, part of Breitling’s push to offer serious watches for women that weren’t just fashion accessories.

Materials & Features:

  • Typically 29mm case size, in stainless steel, two-tone, or full gold.
  • Powered by either Quartz or automatic movements, depending on the reference.
  • Features include rider tab bezel, chronometer-certified accuracy, and the unmistakable Breitling pilot styling.
  • Often paired with a Pilot bracelet, and dials in black, silver, blue, or mother-of-pearl.

Discontinuation Status: Discontinued in the 2000s. No modern replacement. Rare on the secondary market and increasingly sought after as a serious women’s tool watch.

Small Watch, Big Purpose: Just because it’s elegant doesn’t mean it’s delicate.

Made for Flight, Sized for Style: Same performance edge—refined to fit real life.

No Compromises: It wasn’t “downsized.” It was redesigned to do the job at scale.

Understated Power: You won’t see it often. But when you do—it’s the real deal.
