Purpose / Inspiration: The Alpine Eagle was Chopard’s modern revival of its 1980s St. Moritz sports watch—a high-end steel piece with integrated bracelet and bold bezel screws. But this wasn’t just a throwback. Inspired by the power of the Alps and the precision of the eagle’s eye, it mixed rugged natural inspiration with Swiss luxury engineering.
Designer: Developed by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and his son Karl-Fritz—reviving the design Scheufele Sr. first launched in 1980
Case size: 36mm, 41mm, and 44mm (Chrono XL)
Case options: Lucent Steel A223 (a proprietary high-hardness, hypoallergenic steel), rose gold, two-tone, and full gold; limited editions in titanium and gem-set

Bezel: Round bezel with 8 visible screws, arranged in pairs to follow the compass points
Dial options: Blue, black, green, and gray with a sunburst “eagle iris” texture—resembling an eagle’s eye up close

Bracelet: Integrated metal bracelet—tapered, brushed center links with polished central ridges; superb wrist ergonomics
